    Hi

I have been looking at the O,O,B for the 285th Grenadier Regiment. Below is my late fathers Soldbuch, am I right in thinking that the 285th GR was part of the 148th IN Division that fought in Italy in late 1944 early 1945?

And can anyone list from the information below where he started his training please.

Sorry should have said that I am getting totally confused with some of the information on the web.

    Thanks

It would help to see the pages showing what unit or units he was asigned to and when he was called up, pages 2,3 and 4. Any awards might help as well. You're quite right, Gren.Rgt. 285 did indeed belong to the 148 Inf.Div. in North West Italy, along the coast.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.
