German Soldier's Name In Helmet - Still Alive?

Hello, I'm trying to research a German soldier's name that is on a WWII helmet. I have only found one soldier that is MIA/KIA 1941 that matches the nachname "Zalder". The helmet I have has a liner band that is dated 1943, so I'm sure it's not the same guy.

Is there a complete list of soldier's names somewhere that might include surviving soldier's? I know the soldier's first name ends with what looks like an "n", last name "Zalder".
