7th SS Pz. Gren. Regiment

Hi,

I have a late war SS Soldbuch belonging to SS-Pz. Grenadier Erwin Kloske. He was with the 2nd Battalion of the 7th SS-Pz. Grenadier Regiment. Which division would this regiment have been with? According to a 1991, letter that came with the soldbuch, Erwin was born May 14, 1927, in Waldsiedel and lost his life on April 12, 1945, at Raum Znaim-Mistelbach/Osterr. Where are these locations? Erwin had only been a member of the unit from February 20, 1945. Any information on the unit or Erwin's birth/deathplace would be appreciated.

7th SS-Pz. Grenadier Regiment was part of 4. SS-Polizei-Panzergrenadier-Division.

Have you tried Google Earth or a similar program for the locations?

FYI The town of ZNAIM is now known as ZNOJMO, Czech Republic. A very beautiful area.
