Most of the 116. Panzer Div. (only the non-fighting units and part of the Aufkl. guys got out in time, they fought on in the Harz mountains).
I'm collecting anything related to the towns Castricum and Bakkum during WWII.
Also soldbucher from 116pzdiv. And 1944-1945 eastfront pockets, kampfgruppe and Oder front.

Almost all of Army Group B was trapped long with hodgepdge of other supporting units and school cadre etc. Somewhere I would think there would be a list on line. US unit Histories also often will list units that surrendered. Good luck,

              Coming Up Empty

Interestingly enough, after an exhaustive internet search I have found nothing that would be even considered a partial listing of units in the Ruhr. One item is a map from the 8th AD web site, from the G-2, see http://www.8th-armored.org/8_big/maps/ruhr_01.htm. I cannot confirm if any of this data is accurate.

                Hi Steve,

with some clicks and information put together here is some Heeresgruppe B information for the Ruhr Kessel.
Sure there were other units in that pocket too, but this is the main group that was there.
