I have a helmet with the fieldpost number 5/217467. Of course there is no date. Anyway to pinpoint or get a general idea of the location of this feldpost?

I think that number is too long to be a FP number?

Good point. It's probably 5/2 17467? With the 5/2 standing for 5th Regiment 2nd Company or something to that affect (??) and the 17467 being the feldpost numbers.Comment
