Not really, I think Gestrichen has to be changed to an unit.

What was the FPNR of the 12 Pz Reg "HJ" ?

Sorry I cannot help with that number.

        "gestrichen" means discontinued.

        Cheers, Ade.

What do you mean by 'not really'? that is the correct unit for the fp number given, although the number itself was struck off in January '45 the unit itself ceased to exist in august 1944 when it was destroyed in North West France.

and what relationship has the 12 SS-Pz.Rgt. with the fp number you asked about?

Because the veteran was in the 4 Flakzug / 12 Pz Reg "HJ" his feldpostnumber was, and he is 100% sure, 59576E .

No, he was in the Panzer Regiment. He had a Wirbelwind.

And the only Wirbelwinds to be found was in the Panzer Regiment 12 "HJ"

The unit you refer to was the flakzug of the II abteilung under Karl Wilhelm Krause who came up with the idea of the Wirbelwind. It's number, 4 or as you say IV is simply it's platoon number within the stab of the II abteilung.

Krause himself is interesting as he served in the KM during the Narvik campaign of 1940 so was unusual in wearing the Narvikschild and destroyer badge on his black SS panzer uniform, a strange combination indeed.

As for more info, I think you ought to try and find a copy of Hubert Meyer's history of the HJ
