I./Flak-Rgt. 19 was a "front" unit that fought in Denmark, Belgium and northeast France (1940-41); the Balkans (1941); south Russia (1941-44); south Poland (1944-45); and on the Oder Front at Küstrin, Fürstenwalde and Luisenhof (1945). The Abteilung was credited with the destruction of hundreds of Russian tanks and had at least 2 Ritterkreuzträger and 7 DKiG-Träger who served with it at one time or another. That's puts in the top 10 among Flak units.
