flamethrower use

excuse my lack of knowledge, but take for example a bog-standard infantry division in 1943 and it's standard allocated pionier batallion.
Would that pionier batallion be equipped with flamethrower teams ?

Yes, absolutely. I believe the standard scale of issue was 6 flamethrowers per company.
