Can anybody point me in the direction of information on this division? Do any first person accounts exist or authoritative works on this division or the battle of Halbe? Thanke-Steve

There is a book about Halbe by Tony Le Tissier called Slaughter At Halbe (ISBN 0-7509-3689-4).

There is small piece on this division in Nafziger's German Order Of Battle vol 1 on page 404, and also on page 233 of Mitcham's German Order Of Battle vol 2.

Hucks how can I get a hold of a copy of Nafziger's work?

I am familiar with Mitchem work, might even hava a copy here in the house!

George F Nafziger's 3 volumes are available on Amazon.com ranging from $48 to $88 depending on the volume. Try Abebooks.com as well, they might be able to find a cheaper copy for each volume...

Checked the bookshelf, only have Mitchem vol 1, so I will look today while I am out for vol 2.

Do you know if there are any files at NARA in the MS series on the battle for Halbe, is there any access to Russian first hand accounts of this battle?
