    1/ Lehrgeschwader 1

I have the chance to purchase this cigar case on the basis there may be some RK winners signatures on it, I believe that it may have been a gift to Generalmajor Alfred Bülowius who was awarded the RK in 1940, any help appreciated, thanks, Paul

        Now that is very interesting.
I have the silver Honor Goblet and DKiS to
        Siegfried von Eichhorn.
One assignment on his docs (which I have) is:
        1/11/39..31/12/41:I./Lehrgeschwader 1 (Staff Kpt.)
I believe that is his signature under the bomb!
        (v Eichhborn)

Surely this is a presentation piece to Eduard Teske kommandeur of I./LG 1 between the dates shown?

Very nice Simon! As I speak I am currently paying for a Soldbuch for a Pilot who flew Ju-88's in Lehrgeschwader 1 who went missing during the time of the Normandy Invasion. I'll be sure to post it here as I would very much like to research the gent and figure out where he served. All the best, Jonathan

                  Jonathan -

Then you do not have this two-volume work?

Taghon, Peter. Die Geschichte des Lehrgeschwaders 1: Dokumentation über Aufstellung, Ausrüstung, Einsatz und Ende eines Kampfgeschwaders der Luftwaffe, Zusammengestellt aus Kriegstagebüchern, Dokumenten und Berichten.
                  Band 1: 1936 – 1942 (Zweibrücken: VDM Verlag, 2004).
                  Band 2: 1942 – 1945 (Zweibrücken: VDM Verlag, 2004).

I highly recommend it if you are interested in LG 1.
