    Help !! Research Artillery Officer/ Ernlt Knigge

    Hello Guys, Maybe someone can help me ,This name is on my Artillery visor, i have struggled to find any information/research about Ernlt Knigge , I have tried some german sites and archives but i have trouble translating as i dont speak german !! can some help me out with this name or any information ?? Thank you !!

        I found an Ernst Knigge on Volksbund. Sad he died late April of 1945, he even may fought in the Battle of Berlin.

          Thank you !! very much for that information, would that surname have been popular ?? and how would i be able to find out whether this particular find is the same man,like that information you found does it tell if he served in an Artillery Battalion ??

          Also the age of this person when died is 14 years old not sure if this is same person !!

            for sure not the same person. There wasn t 14 years old officers in german army, even not in 1945.

            If you have no unit informations, you have no chance to find this man, sorry.

              I don't think this is the guy of the Artillery cap, this kid was 14 years old, I think he was a Hitler Jugend soldier.

                In the recent German phone book you will find about 28 entries Knigge, all in the area of "Ehmen" today a part of the city of Wolfsburg.

                  Thanks guys, i would say hitler youth too !! especially at that age. Not sure if this helps maybe not ??........I bought this piece in a town called Elst about 5-10km from Arnhem in Holland last year , not much info was given to me , but am curious about trying to find some information but its hard !!!
