    Slagelse 5th May 45

    Hallo guys!
I have an M42 helmet found in a ditch in Slagelse,Denmark, shortly after the Germans surrender on may 5th 1945, when they were walking for Korsoer (a ferry city/port). In Korsoer they were disarmed by the English and the Ressistens, and then shipped home for Germany.
Who knows wich divisions surrendered there?
    Thanks

      Hi Luca
Not a big help to you but to your question in the month and weeks just before the end of WW2 in May 45 a lot of different troops arrive into Danish Ports fleeing from the Russians and hoping for a surrender to the allied meaning the British and US. Some troops from Norway was moving South to Denmark for just in case of heavy battle to reinforce the standing troops so obvious a large mixes of Divisions and regiments those days I am sure it’s known who the regular’s troops who have been stationed in Denmark during the War happen to be they must be well knows to someone else but except me?

      Regards
      Kim
