    Hello,
Do you mean the city of Antwerp or the province of Antwerp?
I'll check my lists and get back to you.

    Best Regards,
    Kempenaar Vincent S.

        English:

I sure do have interest in Belgium during the war, but certainly not as much as for the winter uniforms of the German Army.
I've got to have a list of the troops stationed in the environment of Herentals, but don't know where it is at the moment.
I'll just have to look it up.

        Best Regards,
        Vincent S.

Is goed. Mijn grootste interesse is Duitsland in het Oostfront.

Is good. My biggest interest is Germany on the Eastern front.

The info in pencil relates only to Major Spielberg who attended the school, receiving scathing evaluations I must say. His story is very very interesting but I dont want to hijack your topic.

The Stabsbatterie F.N.05583 Flak-Abt. 1 "LSSAH" left Herentals on 15.8.1944. Whilst doing so they abbandoned the "La Paige" castle, which was in fact a bordel. The ladies of this bordel were "nach Hause geschickt".
Herentals was of quite strategic importance due to it's railway station.
Einheit Feldpostnummer 08669 was located in Herentals atleast up until12/9/1944. Other units such as Flak Units were located in Olen at the area of Gerhaegen. At first this was a Wehrmacht Flak Abteiling, of whom I forgot the FPnr, but later in the war this FlakStellung was manned by F.N.05583 Flak-Abt. 1 "LSSAH". I have some artifacts of this unit, like some ammo boxes for a Flak 20mm.

Many units passed trough Herentals during the ocupation, certainly after the Normandy invasion. So to speak, the 16th SS Panzergrendiv. "Hitlerjugend" passed trough, they stayed for circa 5 days and were even visited by "Sepp"
Dietrich at the La Paige castle.

Other information is yet to come.
