There's no listing in Tessin for a Kampf-Marsch-Btl. 1031. I think it may be connected to Grenadier-Rgt. (mot.) 1031, which was set up in February 1944 as part of the Replacement Army and then sent to Romania in March-April 1944. The Kampf-Marsch-Btl. may have been additional replacements that were fed into the regiment at some point around that time and threfore carried its number. On 5 April 1944, the regiment was renamed Pz.Gren.Rgt. 128 of the 25. Panzer-Div.
