Walter Krueger: Lst Div. Kdr der 357. ID

below is a picture of the last Divisional Commander of the 357. ID, Oberst Walter Krueger. All along I thought it was the RKT Walter Krueger, but I just found out I was wrong. Based on his ribbon bar and Schlesischer Adler, can any of you tell me more about this man?
