Deubner was the korpsarzt or chief medical officer of the XV Gebirgs Korps in Croatia. The fp number is correct to that headquarters.

dealing with operations of palate deformity.

I found some additional informations on Deubner:

In the German medical review "Langenbeck's Archive of Surgery", Vol. 215, no. 3-5 (March 1929) Deubner published an article dealing with a special splint for hurt legs.

Deubner was named as author with the remark : "Stabsarzt bayr. Div. - San. Abt. 7".

In Oct 1932 he published an other article in an other German medical review
where he was mentioned with "Standortlazarett Nürnberg".

I found same additional informations on Dr. Deubner:

In the Rangdienstalterliste (age-in-grade/seniority/ army ranking list ?) 1943 I found him as Oberstarzt and Div. Arzt of the 46. Div. and zugleich (at the same time) he was Kdr. San. Abt. 56

His Rangdienstalter was 1. Jan 1938. I cannot exactly explain what Rangdienstalter is, but I think Larry may help.

I cannot exactly explain what Rangdienstalter is, but I think Larry may help.
It's usually called a Seniority List, so you had it right. It's also referred to sometimes unofficially as a Date-of-Rank List.

                Best,

Are you sure about that as that was his exact appointment in january '39?

                    Simon,
as I only have a bad old photocopy of the Rangliste the exact date is bad to read but I will have a look again tomorrow. This afternoon I thought it would be January 1938.

                      Hi Larry,

thanks a lot for the explanation of "Seniority list". So sometimes I can learn some more (helpful) English vocabulary.

                      Best,
                      Gerdan
