Hi guys,
In the latest JJF book, "Soldiers of the Leibstandarte" by Fischer, there is a photo of a car on page 126 which has what appears to be a Feldpostnummer instead of a licence plate. I believe this was standard practice for units when they 'Beute' a vehicle - it would carry the FPN until it was officially assigned a number plate with this unit or moved to another.
The number is SS-09851, which may actually be a SS-VT Artillery Regiment number rather than LAH.
Anyone able to confirm or deny?
Thanks
Steve
