    awards revieved

If a solder from the Transport branch served on the Eastern Front would they haved recieved the Eastern Front metal? Also what other awards would have they recieved? Thanks.

Any soldier that served within the area defined for the Eastern front medal and fulfilled the qualifying criteria was entitled to the medal.

As for what other medals he would have received is an impossible question to answer without knowing the man's service history at least. It could be nothing or it could be a whole bunch of medals.

However, if he was just a private soldier that served in a transport unit throughout the war then most likely nothing more than a KVKII w/ S and perhaps a drivers proficiency badge.
Collecting German award documents, other paperwork and photos relating to Norway and Finland.

My Great Grandfather was an NCO with the Transport branch from the beginning of the war till the end. All I've heard was that he was on the Eastern Front. Then at the end of the war he was captured by the Russians and spent a year re-building sidewalks in Russia.
