    DKiG Alfred Miksch

    Hi,

    Does anyone have more info on DKiG holder Feldwebel Alfred Miksch??

    I believe he was in a JG.
    And he got his DKiG somewhere around september 1943.

    Just read that he had 43 kills en fought in JG 1 and JG 3.

    Anymore info, data, pictures????

      01/12/1943 Ofw MIKSCH, Alfred Germany 43 9./JG3, 8./JG1 KIA.

      So a few months after being rewarded the DKiG.

        Hi there,

        Eric Mombeek's book "Defending the Reich-History of JG.1" has 3 photo's concerning Miksch. Page 151 he is standing in front of his Bf 109, on Page 171 he is in a group photo of 8th Staffel and on page 190 there is picture of his grave.

          According to "Das Deutsche Kreuz", Feldwebel Alfred Miksch, 7./JG 3, was awarded his DKiG on July 12, 1943.

            I will buy that book from Erik.
            I had already contact with him and got 2 pics from him which I posted in the other Tread.

            Yes Bob, you are correct. The date is 12/7/1943. See the award doc.

            I did not have the pictures when I posted this tread. Now I know much more about this person
