Hpt. Waldemar Friedrich I/207 Jager Rgt.

Just as a wild card post does anyone have any documents or photos of a Waldemar Friedrich? He was with the 207th Jger Rgt. and was killed in December 1943. The family sold off some items, I have one tunic that went through dealers and collectors until I bought it off Estand. There are three photos of him in the 97th Division History Bildband but that is it and no records at NARA. Thanks in advance.

i assume you have seen the Volksbund entry for him.

Well, not finding his file at NARA is what I would expect. As far as I know, and that seems to be the consensus here too, NARA only currently has the Personalakten files, i.e. a small percentage of the total files on Heer officers held at Freiburg. This is, by the way, why the approach of some dealers, who make claims regarding reasonably common names based only on NARA files, borderline fraudulent.

Thanks, I followed all the little forest paths available. There are two pictures of him in the 97th Division history and I am aware of the MIA entry. Not sure what you are impying or trying to advise me of with the last sentence?
