Help with a Feldpost nummer please

    Hi guys-

Looking for another Feldpost nummber, 09278, circa September 1940 through August 1941.

Also looking for confirmation on FPN 02712 (should be s.Art.Abt.510, which was re-designated HKAA.1255 in Dec. 1943)

    Thanks in advance!

      Thank you, sir

Does anyone have any info on Stellungs-Batterie 262? Any chance this unit was part of Artillerie-Regiment 262, 262.I.D.? Or could it have been a batterie in Marine-Artillerie-Abteilung 262?

          Daniele-

Got that, thanks! I'm looking for any info on Stellungs-Batterie 262, as this is the only unit in the Soldbuch I have having trouble researching...

3./HKAA1255 (the batterie this fellow served with from Jan - September 1944) was equiped with 6x15.5cm K420 (f) cannons and stationed at Houlgate, Normandie

Another Normandie! Can we see it when your time permit?

The HKAA 1255 after the D-Day was relocated between Frénouville and Soliers with the II and III/155 Panzer artillery Regiment. 18 guns of the battalion 1255 (either 122 and 125 mm) fight during the days after 14 july against allies that begun the operation "Goodwood".

For example: when the 2nd Fife and Forfar Yeomanry on 18 july arived near Bourguebus, they were forced back by anti-tank fire and shots coming from behind the anti-tank were was the 1255 battalion.

The 1255 was destroyed on october 14, 1944.
