Hi
I'm new to this forum. First of all, I want to greet everyone here.
My name is Renato, I'm from Brazil.
I've been trying to find information on a Wehrmacht soldier (don't know the rank, only know it was no higher than the German equivalent of a sargent), an infantry soldier (is that how it is called?).
I've even been to the German Consulate here, but to no avail.
The soldier's last name was Fützel or Futzel, but I don't know his first name. He died in the Eastern front after Stalingrad, during the autumn or winter.
I'm sorry I don't have much more info to provide.
I'm having difficulty using the sites you have suggested, such as the one about grave records, partly because I hardly know any German word, and mostly because I have so little information to start my search with.
Could anyone give me any hint?
Thank you very much.
