How to find info about individuals?

    Hi,
I'm not completely sure if this thread should be put here but the problem concerns this very forum.
Anyway, through the years of gathering stuff I got some items that are bearing names of their owners. So, ad rem.
    1. Inscription on M36 gas mask canister - Wüllner; Flieg. Horst Goslar; K.F.Z. So I'm looking for rank, unit and service history of Luftwaffe (the canister is blaugrau) named Wüllner who was (presumably) a driver on airfield in Goslar.

    2. Inscription on political mess kit M31 - I. Kindler. I think he was either member of HJ or SA.

    3. Sticker inside Luftschutz gas mask canister - Schw. M. Krispina.

Thanks for any tips and advice how to find something about those people.
    Best regards,
    fanatyk6

Try the Volksbund, and if that doesn't come up with anything and you're really interested, try the WASt.

    Hope this helps.

Larry de Zeng's published research files provide details on Goslar:

I don't get it - is there any hint that Larry de Zeng get the info about the individuals from Wast or Volksbund concerning the Goslar airfield?

For some reason the link in my last post isn't working. The airfield files are at this link with Goslar being in the Germany [1937 Borders] option.

                3) The name could mean

                "Schw.(ester) M.(aria) Krispina".

It could be the monastic name of a nun.

Thanks but I'm still not sure if it is a point to write to Germany to get some details about the service of the soldiers whose doc I own.

With the slim details you have I'd say there isn't much point. Without a full name and date of birth at least they might not even give the request a second thought.
