Ehrenblattspange des Heeres holder info.

I have some pictures and citations from Hauptmann Ferdinand Wirges who won the DKiG on October 16th, 1.944. After a little research I discovered that he is also holder of the Ehrenblattspange des Heeres.

Maybe someone can provide me some info regarding where he won this distinction and show me some other pictures or his citation (maybe in some books are some)

It might help to let everyone know that Wirges was in Pi.Btl.389 when he won both the DKiG and EB. According to my research, Major Joachim Wilkening was commander of Pi.Btl.389 from June 1943 until April 1945, so I presume Wirges was a company commander.

Angel, if you're interested, I can probably find a few more details about Wirges but I'm afraid I won't be able to answer your specific questions about where and why he was awarded the EB. Records from that late in the war are very sparse. I would, however, be very interested in seeing some more of your pictures and citations.
