Question: Oberleutnant Alfred Germer

Hello All:

Can anyone provide information concerning Oberleutnant Alfred Germer, who was awarded the Knight's Cross in May 1940 for the attack at the Maginot Line's Ouvrage La Ferte (known as Panzerwerk 505 to the Germans)? I understand he later died on the Eastern Front.
