    Serveral soldiers

    Hi,

I have serveral names where I want more information about like in wich unit they stayed/KIA?/feldpostnumbers? if possible.

But I don't have more then names, so I think it's pretty hard.

    Soldiers (I think WH):

Hans Werner (stayed in barracks in Holland, with Searchlights so can be Luftwaffe? during the WWII)
Feldwebel Helmut Dohler (soldier that died in Holland (March 1945))
Hauptmann Hanssen (head of a group of soldiers in 1940-????)

    Some 10th SS Frundsberg soldiers:

Harald Beitzel (head of a maintenance company in september 1944)
Hans Graf (head over some fitters in september 1944)
Jochem Adams (head over some fitters in september 1944)
Wolfgang Maier (he lead the whole group(company? or regiment?) in september 1944)
Obersturmbahnführer Weber (head of a propaganda unit in september 1944)

They all stayed in late '44 or early '45 in Holland!

I know it's difficult to find something but this is all I know!

I will have a look in my files for information. I do have a lot of records dealing with KIA German soldiers in Holland 1944.

      Give me a few days.

      Cheers

Yes, I've seen that but you have to pay for information.

I was thinking maybe there are people around here that have more information, so I don't have to pay.

Thanks, I appreciate that, maybe you have more names and information about soldiers that died around the town Zelhem?

Because there died more soldiers in Zelhem but nobody does have any names.

Well, you are certainly entitled to ask, and maybe Scott in Australia can find a match or two for you. But, in 99.999% of the time, it's not possible to find details on lower ranking personnel without going through WASt in Berlin, and that's usually only if you have full names, dates of birth and can show that you are a relative. And even then, the information from WASt is almost always incomplete. So for you given what you have, it's a shot in the dark.

I know, but I did want to try it this way, because you never know what you can hear.

                  Dennis,

Hadn't really had the chance yet. Very busy with work at the moment. However I quickly checked my files regarding people killed in Zelham.

I have 10 German soldiers buried in Zelham. THe earliest was killed on the 30th March 1945 - a soldier from FSJ Rgt 16.Others included 2 x LW Flak soldiers, 1 x LW Nachr soldier and 3 unknown. The last 3 - the entry seems to be interesting involving an 88mm but it is in Dutch. Hoping you can send some light on it. It says: "door tankgeschut gesneuveld bij een Duits 88mm kanon, waarbig 2 man geheel verbrandden".

I will try to find some more names for you but it does take time as not all the files are electronic. I am away this weekend with work but will look Sunday Night (10am your time)

                  Cheers

                  Scott

                    Yes, I understand it!

                    It Says:
Shot by a tank at an 88mm canon, 2 soldiers burned totally!

                      Dennis,

Checked my other files for Frunsberg and Heer soldiers and no luck. Without further detail it will be a very hard task to find what you are loking for.

                      Sorry I couldn't help.

                      Cheers
