Sutterlin signed name Help

This was in the front of a copy of the reprinted 1939 Rangliste. I usually can read these but I am havng a hard time on the first letter of the last name with this one.

Thanks, you think that is an umlaut? or a first initial. I suspect this guy was a fairly high ranking German officer by Wars end. There is a Sauberlich as a Hauptmann in the 1939 Ranglist. I just bought the rangliste and the back is full of high ranking obituaries in an envelope and through the whole book with his name on the front.

Anyone have another idea?

Signatures are almost always different than the text used in writing letters etc.

I can see where you do not find a match to the classic sutterlin on the website but this is also written in a personalized Sutterlinschift style.
