    Barkmann Crew

I was wondering if anyone has the names and ranks of Ernst Barkmann's Panther crew when he was in Normandy? Also, does anyone have any idea if the crew stayed together and whether or not, besides Barkmann, any of the crew members are still living?

Further, are there any books besides the Stackpole books "Waffen SS Armor Battles" by Willi Fey and "Panzer Aces" that have any greater detail of Barkmann's career?

    Any information would be appreciated.

    Thanks!

    Here is what I know:

    Crew in normandy:
    - gunner: Unterscharführer Poggendorf
    - driver: Rottenführer Pölz (shown below as Uscha, right is his brother Hubert Pölz, holder of the oakleaves)

    Crew in the ardennes:
    - gunner: Poggendorf
    - driver: Rottenführer Grundmeyer
    - gun loader: Karl Keller

They stayed together till their tank was shot by mistake by a Waffen-SS grenadier in vienna. After the end of the war Barkmann and his crey were walking to his farm in northern germany (app. 1000km), and his crey worked at his farm for 2 or 3 years.

None of his crew is stil living.
