I took my information from three sources that I just went back and re-checked. The maps in those sources are labeled in a misleading way that causes the reader to conclude that the Putziger Nehrung (Halbinsel Hela) was a component of the much larger Frische Nehrung. I think it appears this way because of the map scale. But I just looked at a much larger scale map and they are not in any way connected, although they both extent into the Danziger Bucht and may well have been connected at one time.
