Hello Ludwig,
You had mentioned in one of your posts that it was a lie that any soldiers from Infantry Batallion zbv 500 earned high awards. I have a soldbuch to an officer who earned the DKiG with this unit. He was not assigned to the unit for discipline, but merely as an officer.

This thread is about the SS battalion numbered 500, your soldbuch is to the Heer (army) battalion numbered 500. Two completely different units from different branches of the service.
