Luftwaffe Bewahrungs Bataillon 6 ZbV

Hello

Can somebody identify this signatures. This signatures are in a LW soldbuch from a member of Luftwaffe Bewahrungs Bataillon 6 ZbV.

I know that major Veith had the command of this unit but he died on 16 september 1944 durig an allied artillery bombardment. So who took over the command after Major Veith died. Or who were the company leaders?

This same question has come up several times on Axis History Forum, Feldgrau, here and probably on some other sites, too. To the best of my knowledge, no one has been able to identify these other officers with certainty, other than just decipher their last names.

BTW, the correct designation of the unit was Luftwaffen-Jäger-Btl. z.b.V. 6. But it was a Bewahrungsverband as you stated.

It'll take one of our signature experts to do that, Erwin. However, one of them may be "Franck", at least that's what it looks like to me. One of the guys who are good at this should be along soon to work on these for you.

no 3 and 4 could be "Frank" or better "Franck" or "Funck"

no 5 "W..king"

A big "thanks" to Gerdan for deciphering those signatures!

The “Franck” guy is probably:
FRANCK, Gerhard. (DOB: 21.04.17). 01.08.43 promo to Hptm.

Like Gerdan, I am pretty sure this is “Franck”. There are too many scribbles for “Frank” and of the four Luftwaffe officers by the name of “Funck”, one was a general, one an Obstlt., one a Major, and the last one was a Hptm. fighter pilot in JG 11.

The “W..king” guy is:
WEHKING, Otto. 10.10.44 Maj., appt Kdr. Lw.-Jäger-Btl. z.b.V. 6.
