    Research EDUARD HUECK

Shortly ago I bought this boxed Table Medal on E-stand.
Its thanking the company Eduard Hueck for his work. “WIR DANKEN EUCH – FIRMA EDUARD HUECK”

Now I like to find out the history behind this medal and the history from this company.
What it exactly did at ww2.
I did not made contact, to not offend them.

        Results till now:

The company is still excisting: Eduard Hueck GMBH >
The Eduard Hueck GmbH & Co. KG is a globally operating, competent producer
and supplier of aluminium profile systems for window-, door- and facade applications
as well as producer of aluminium profiles for industrial customers.

        http://www.eduard-hueck.de/en/Company/Company.jsp

The History I don’t know exactly. On a website about the mauser K-98 I found out:
Factory maker mark OA >> Eduard Hueck, Metallwalzwerk, Luedenscheid, Westfalen

        Short time-line from the company:

1908 Initiation of the first extrusion press
1938 A roller mill for the production of large-size aluminium- and brass sheets originates in Lüdenscheid-Elspe
        1952 Development-start of Hueck-system-profiles (first object: blue-gold-house for „4711“ in Cologne)

But there's nothign to find about the war-time

          Rzm

          Reichs-Zeug-Meisterei der NSDAP
RZM manufacturers codes of the NSDAP

The RZM was the quality control board of the NSDAP. The RZM codes where made only to be used within NS-organisations as SS, SA, NSFK, NSKK etc. They where not used in the army. The codes where provided to manufacturers of who could provide the quality as it was demanded by the NSDAP. When the quality was not good enough, the maker could lose their RZM code and couldn't produce for the NSDAP anymore. M = metal

              Hi

The image on the table medal certainly depicts part of the manufacture process of sheet metal as the image shows the sheet metal being formed as it passes through the rollers.

I think that it is possible that this was not a table medal given to the firm, but a table medal given to the workers of the company.

'We thank you' with the name of the donor at the bottom i.e the company in question.

As it is so specific, then I would assume that it is one that was commissioned by the company, rather than being presented to the company. Being so specific and, in addition, it does not have national or regional emblems emblazoned on it that would highlight as an award presented to the company for its efforts.

It certainly is an interesting item. I am not very knowledgable about such items, but maybe another forum member will be able to enlighten us
