    more work for you im affraid raymond, im in the process of membership, so ill soon be able to post rather than try to explain,,, ive a 4yr ss award to a unterscharfurher in the gotz von b, name of JOHANN JUNG, ss,no, 853 with ss id tag and cord attached { smells truely terrible } an ss 4yr medal with very worn ribbon, and his capture details in the shape of a small official certificate, its an ss regestration form dated 5.8.46 in the area of neustadt , also got kriess stamp on it, im hoping i can find out more of this guy, he obviously survived the war, what fighting was he involved with ?thanks for any help

    Hi Phil, the serial number on the dog tag is not his "SS" number. It is the roll number from his unit.

    Check the date again on that cert?

      yes, my mistake, the date is correct, but its the capture cert with that date , not the 4yr cert, that strangely is undated, a picture tells a thousand words.

          i know what that wink means yeah, its possible the certs not right, however ,the other stuff ,im sures ok, maybe a put together to inhanse value, will send to you later today mate, thanks alot, but got to ask favour from friend to help me

              Greetings Phil,

              There are eleven files for SS men under that name. One Offizier. Regrettably, the majority of the EM files are a single page, the death notice, and not one file ID's the unit. Do you have any more info?
