      I think you're right. This would tie in with Karsten's location as Von Schleich was C-in-C Denmark of Luftwaffe forces. Also, just about every picture you see of him he is wearing his Pour le Merit.

        Herr Wessel is right....the photo was probably taken in Denmark sometime after 01.02.1941:

        P.S. There is a fellow in Michigan named Darrell or Darren Whiteside who recently completed a biography of Ritter von Schleich and self-published it. I haven't read it, but someone who has said it was quite comprehensive and has a large selection of family photos.

          I also found it in Denmark along with some other LW Base Aalborg pictures.

          Found some other photo´s on google of him.
