Kreisleiter name???

Can anyone tell me if they can determine the Kreisleiter's name on this tailor tag and if he was "important"? Thanks!

The zuname is 'Krüsl'...the vorname could be 'Cymill', 'Symill' or 'Lymill'...not too sure.

I don't see any cross strokes to signify 't', so how about 'Schmill'?

Thanks guys! I never would have come up with that. I figured the first word was "Kreisleiter" as the tag is on a kreisleiter tunic. Perhaps I can research the name based on the tailor's location.

I got the Kreisleiter abbreviation, but did not have a clue about the surname.

You have a good start for researching the individual as you know he was a Kreisleiter in 1938 and you can get a location based on the tailors label.

If you make any headway, then it would be great to get an update to report any success that you have.

it should be Peter Schmitt from NASDA - Kreisleiter from Kreis Trier - Land

bacause the tunic's tayler's tag gives as place named Hermeskeil and

Hermeskeil is not so far away from Trier.

The other place name Meisenheim is too far away from Hermeskeil. Schmitt will

have ordered his tunic near his office/home.

At first I want to correkt myself: it must be NSDAP - Nationalsozialistische Deutsche Arbeiter Partei.

Normally there must have existed a personal file of Kreisleiter Peter Schmitt

with photograph and curriculum vitae/résumé.

These NSDAP party files are all microfilmed now and the films are in the cutody of NARA.

May be you could ask for a copy there?
