RKT Unterscharfuhrer Lothar Swierzinski info?

Hi Guys,

I am researching SS Unterscharfuhrer Lothar Swierzinski - a Knights Cross recipient.

Here is the data that I have, if anyone could add to it or post a photo or two, I would greatly appreciate it.

Lothar Swierzinski

Born: July 18, 1922 in Gelsenkirchen

Died: October 29, 1944 in Bugmuende, near Warsaw from injuries received while fighting in Warsaw the previous day.

Volunteered for Waffen SS service in 1940.

Served only with 10th Company/SS-Panzer Grenadier Regiment 5/3rd SS Panzer Division "Totenkopf"

Saw duty in:

Northern Russia: Kowno, Pleskau, Luga, and Demjansk from 1941-1942.

Southern Russia: Kharkov, Kiev, and Kirowograd from 1943-1944.

Promoted from Rottenfuhrer to Unterscharfuhrer in 1944 (actual date unknown at this time)

Awarded Knights Cross on December 16, 1943 for actions near Kirowograd in October 1943. Russian unite broke through the front lines - his platoon (under his command) defended the position and forced the Russians to retreat after numerous assaults.

That is everything that I have.

Any information would be a great help.
