Does anyone know what other units Püchler commanded/served in prior to Jäger-Rgt. 228? He was awarded the RK with this unit on Dec 20, 1941.

He started out in Pioneer battalion 17 of the Imperial Army. Commanded 13th Co. (mortars) of Reichsheer Inf Rgt 7 in 1924, was CO of 11th Co./Inf Rgt 17 in '28.
