The information you would like to have translated into English and derived from Veit Scherzer's reference book on K.C.recipients is as follows:
Karl-Bernhard Wenzel, awarded the K.C. as Oberleutnent commander of 12./Panzer Regiment 24 with date of 12.Aug.1944
He was born on 18.Jan.1920 in Langen near Offenbach and was killed in action 22.Sep. 1944 at Certizne south-east of the Dukla Pass in the General Gouvernement ( Poland) as Rittmeister (Captain) and commander of II./Pz.Rgt. 24. He was promoted to Major after death . He served mainly on the eastern Front.
The following data are from the book in German "K.C.recipients of the Panzertruppe" by Cristian Federl and may be of interest:
Received the I.C. II cl. on 10.Jun.1940 and the I.cl. 2.Jun.1942 . The KC proposal was dated 2.Aug.1944 via 24.Pz.Div. and approved by 17.Army and then Army Group North Ukraine. The Preliminary Document and the cross went to 17.Army on 23.Aug.1944.
