Von Kleist 10th Uhlan

This past weekend I was fortunate enough to find a nice horde of WWI/II insignias from a veteran source and one of the pieces was a very nice WWI EK I with a presentation on the reverse engraved: Rittm. von Kleist 10 Uhlan. Was this Paul von Kleist and what attachment would he have had from the WWI 10th Uhlan?

Hello Ron.
The 1913 Prussian Army ranklist lists a Lt.v.Kleist in Ul.Rgt.Nr.10 (no first name).
The Biblio series on German Army generals lists Gen.Lt. Adolf v. Kleist with same rank date as the Lt. above and having been assigned to Ul.10 since 1906.
DoB 24.Feb.1886 and DoD 15.Jul.1957.

von Kleist Grouping

In an old collection which Tom Johnson and I purchased over the weekend (80 year old collector with health concerns) is this group containing the 1914 EK I with the von Kleist inscription on the reverse, General's collar tab and shoulder board and several Imperial/Weimar shoulder boards which I will post photos of in the near future when I have time.
The collector purchased this lot from a veteran in Kansas years ago and I felt that the name and rank insignia would be traceable.
