    SS Officer Hildebrandt 21/6/42

    Hello Fellow collectors!!,
I need some help identifing an SS officer Hildebrandt, I own an original Honor ring dated 21/6/42, and I have looked around the web, but am obviously a rookie!!, any how I found a Richard and a Friedrick(spelling), I was hopping one of the expert researchers might have a idea on which fellow this might have been awarded to. If its of any help he had very large fingers about a size 16 us!! Thanks so much..

Tough trying to figure this one out...you may never know. Unless an honor ring has a fairly "unique" name its nearly impossible to determine who was the original owner.

Quick check in Patzwall's book shows five Hildebrandt's received the honor ring...perhaps a researcher with the dienstaltersliste can whittle the list down based on when each shows up as having the ring on the list.

Friedrich HILDEBRANDT - SS nr 1362
    Friedrich HILDEBRANDT - SS nr 128 802
Fritz HILDEBRANDT - SS nr 10906
Johannes HILDEBRANDT - SS nr 57057
Richard HILDEBRANDT - SS nr 7088

      Thank you

Thank you, Ill look for a reseacher on a military person reseach site...
I think with a award date of 21/6/42 his SS # should be fairly high...
      Any more advice greatly appreciated...

        Officer Hildebrandt found!!

A huge thank you I'm sending out to Ade,Raymond, and John!!, the efforts of these men led to Heer Hildebrandt's Identity!!!!!, It turns out he was a high ranking SS waffen officer with the EKI and EKII awards!...Hopefully in the future I can repay these outstanding gentelmen!!. Internet SS officer researchers and Military researchers of rather known fame had given up or just didn't try,. these guys came thru ...Hat's off again...!
        Kindly....

          Hi

It was a pleasure to help you Bernie, but John Moore has to take the credit for finding the man. Another piece of sterling research work as this was a tricky one working from a big list of possibles.

It is always great when you can identify the original ring recipient.

          Best wishes

          Raymond
