    feldpost No: 00960

    Hello all,
could someone please help me by telling me the unit of this feldpost number?
I have today received a group of paperwork and photographs regarding the death of a Wehrmacht schutze named Josef Klugsberger who was killed in Russia in February 1942.
Amongst the papers is a letter from a Catholic Field chaplain named Dr. Alois Beck dated 16/3/42 and two photographs of the soldiers grave taken by the Chaplain and bearing the same FPN and chaplain's stamp on the reverse; dated 17/2/42.
Any assistance to trace this chaplain's unit would be appreciated!

      Hello Jonathan,
Thank you (again) for you response to my request for information. I have since learned that Dr. Beck was captured at Stalingrad, survived and returned to Germany where he wrote a book (in German) on the history of the regiment in which he served.
