I'm looking for info on an SS company that went into the foreign legion after breaking contact on the eastern front and finding Germany occupied. Any books or websites available?

I've read of Waffen SS in French POW camps after the war who joined the Foreign Legion and ended up fighting the Vietminh in Indochina . I think there was a discussion in one of these forums about that very topic not too long ago. However, a whole SS company joining on masse, that's new to me. Cheers, CB. -
That is probably more like what happened, it sounds more likely.
I heard the original story from an officer in my unit.

Hi, I remember it seeing advertised in "Soldier of Fortune"
magazine inthe 80's by an off the wall publisher maybe neos. The book was called the" Devils Guard". I checked the net and I came up with "The Devils Guard" by George Elford . Amazon .com has it listed as out of print.There are a couple used copies listed at 129.00 and up and they are paperbacks .
