    What unit ?

    Hi,
    I have the opportunity to buy a pre-1942 police tunic with cyphers on the shoulderboards.

    the cyphers are as follows:
    an "X" and under that the number "697"

    I am guessing the tunic belonged to a policeman attached to somekind of Wehrmacht Heer unit but I am far from sure.

    Do these numbers make sence to someone?
