    KC w/ swords holder research

I'm looking for a quite easy , or not, info.
I found a lot of medals that was sleeping since WWII in a box after being captured supposely in France.
    There were
    KC with oaks and swords
    DKiG
    CCC in gold

The question is: Where can I find the name of the different KC with swords holders
    captured in France in 1944
    Thanks
    Philippe

    Bonjour Philippe

To respond to your original question, there is unfortunately no list which would give you the PoW Schwerternträger.
You need to take the 159 recipients and check each biographies based upon Angolia's, Biblio Verlag's or Stockert's works.
If we assume that all medals belonged to the same recipient : we have only 2 Schwerternträgers who were awarded the NKSiG. These were
    - SS Brigaf. Silvester Stadler (C.O. of 9. SS Pz. Div.)
    NKSiG : 12/12/43
Schw. : 06/05/45 (doubtful if he actually wore them)
    - SS Ostubaf. Günther-Eberhardt Wisliceny (C.O. of SS Pz. Gre.Rgt. 3 in 2. SS Pz. Div.)
    NKSiG : 31/03/45
Schw. : 06/05/45 (same comments can be applied)

From my side, I am really suspicious about all those histories surrounding awards and how they were retrieved at the end of the war. Many hearsays and problems of memories oblige to be very cautious with them.
This does not mean that these awards are wrong. But the CCC and the swords can't belong to the same recipient.
There is a very very slight chance that these would have been awarded to GFM von Kluge who committed suicide in France on 19/08/44 near Verdun. This the first Swords recipient who comes rapidly to my mind.
Is there a possibility that you post some pics ?

    Regards
    Denis

For one time it was a real story, the only problem was if all the awards were coming from the same officer. As the lot was containg a P38 I supposed it was the case
If I refer to your very accurate answer I don't think so. But the RK and the oaks and swords are reals. I'll post several pics soon.

We are looking forward to seeing from other ones (close ups as well as photos from DKiG and NKSiG)
