Infantry Regiment 416 & POW Camp "Oflag II. D"

Could someone please tell me what division on the Russian Front this regiment was assigned to, 1941-44, and where Officers' POW Camp "II. D" was? I assume in Wehrkreis II someplace?

These were commands of Generalmajor Christoph Stengel, whose photos Rick has been posting for me in Imperial and Photos.

    Thanks, Ted

      Hi Ted,

the IR 460 was assigned to the 260. ID, and the Oflag II D was located at Groß-Born in Pomerania (Wehrkreis II, you were right about that).

Thanks for the info on Groß-Born, Bastian!

But his regiment was 416, not 460. I still can't find 416th in my reference sources-- wrong war, for me!
