Gentleman..

I have an RK that belonged to Joachim Barth. He became an RK Trager in December 1942. I will post images of the RK that I have later for general interest, but am very interested to find out when Barth was promoted to Major, so that I can date a photo of him I have.

I've drawn a blank so far so if anyone can provide any information it will really be greatly appreciated.

Also: promoted to Leutnant as of April 1, 1936,
still Lt. as of Jan 1939 (Podzun S.577) and adjutant P.13,
Oblt. as of Sep 1939 still adjutant P.13 (KTB Auszug).
Appointed to Kdr. P.13 as of June 1, 1942 as Hptm. (Wegmann/Zweng B.2,S.75).

From divisional history:

"Am 30.9.41 erhielt Chef 3./Pz.J&aum;g.Abt.13 (Oblt. Barth) den Befehl, mit der Kompanie den Panzerschutz für die 2./AA.13 zu übernehmen. ..." (S.84) His company put 16 enemy tanks out of action in 40 minutes - Kompanietruppführer Oberschirrm. Meusgeier received RK for this action.

Barth received DKiG on Dec.19, 1941.
