Good evening Gentlemen, the pilot's badge below belonged to one Hauptmann Rolf Voller, his rank and name are scratched on the back (doesn't show up very well in the pic's) and as you can Imagine this has started the search for Information on this Officer..Can anyone help?? I realize that It's a long shot, but you never can tell...

    Many thanks, in advance....

About the badge I have no knowledge. About the scratches-- can't see 'em.

No Hauptmann Rolf Voller in the February 1945 Seniority List of captains and up with flying/staff qualifications. No Knight's Cross, German Cross, Honor Goblet.

Hi and thanks Rick, perhaps an early casualty?? Anything could apply, including my mis-reading of the signature.. At least, with thanks to you, we have exhausted one avenue of research..The search will continue...

Don't know If this pic will help, but here It Is anyway..How I read It Is ' Hptm Rolf Voller'

Once again, many thanks for your time, Rick.

        Hi John,

Patzwall & Scherzer list only one Voller that was a DKiG Trager - Helmut, not Rolf, and he was with AR152. There was a Rolf Vollmer who was awarded the DKiG as an Oblt. but he was with Pio.Btl 371.

        Keep digging!

There are about 15 "Vollers" listed on the German War Graves database, but no "Rolf".
