            little translation

hi guys, a little bit late but...
ok i will try to give you a small summary of the letter.
my english is not perfect but hope you will understand it.

on top stand: once again a knight cross winner from Karlsruhe.
Heinz Künnede got the Knight cross award, the magazin(newspaper) got this information yesterday. his father worked
at the labour office as an vocational adviser in Karlsruhe, named
Walter Künnede. Heinz was a famous as a ski runner. He was
very successful at ski competition of the 5th Armeekorps on the Feldberg( biggest mountaun in baden-Württemberg) and at the ski competition at Garmisch - partenkirchen(town in germany)
            february/march of 1938.
He birthdate was 14.10.1916 in Berlin. went on school in Baden-Baden in the town were his parents lived. and then on the next higer school called Oberrealschule. then he got his hmmm
Abitur examination(don't know if it is the correct word
            )
then he went on work in Biebolsheim (town) and then he was in the 75 infanterie regiment at Donaueschingen(town). after 2 year he went on the war akademie for an officer career at Potsdam(town). after the occupation of the tschechaslowakei he was at Poland , and thereafter at France and than to the east front. at this time he took the chance and got the EK 2 and EK 1.
his prudent and energetic hold back in dangerous situations at the Kuban bridge head (don't know if it's the right word)
gives him after his second wound the knight cross.

            hope you understand this translation.
            greetings quildor

              Hi quilldor,

thank you very much for the translation, very comprehensible (I was just able to understand his birthdate and that he was in some way related to the Kuban bridgehead )

              Cheers,
              Matteo
