    Hi,

my father in law , Obltn. Muenstermann Erich, was chef of 1st battery in LW flakregiment 52 and LW flakabt.267.

schw.Flak-Abt. 267 (o) spent the entire war up to spring 1945 in the northeast suburbs of Hamburg as Flak-Untergruppe Langenhorn and then as Flak-Untergruppe Nordost. In late winter 1945 (probably mid-March) it moved from Hamburg to just east of Bremerhaven and surrendered there on or about 7 May 1945. It Kommandeur for much of early part of the was was a Maj. Fritz Grasser. You can find some details about it in:

Nicolaisen, Hans-Dietrich. Gruppenfeuer und Salventakt: Schüler und Lehrlinge bei der Flak 1943-1945. 2 volumes (I and II). Büsum: Selbstverlag (privately published) Dr. Hans-Dietrich Nicolaisen, 1993. Pb. 1,792p. Illus. End of chapter source notes.

          thanks BHS !

My father in l. went in flakabt.267 around august 1943, till the end of war.

Before was in I./ Flak Regiment 52 ( gem.mot.) from 29.11.1938, in special time from 06.1941 the regiment was used in 9. Armee with flak-Rgt. 125, supporting Heeresgruppe Mitte in Russia till august 1943.

Anybody can say to me wich battlefields have done 9. Armee in this time?

          thanks

          Ivan

I./Flak-Rgt. 52 advanced through Belorussia under Flak-Regimentsstab 125 in support of 9. Armee, and by December 1941 was located in the Rzhev-Sorkino area where in remained to late 1942. It was transferred to the Vitebsk - Velikiye Luki area to support the heavy fighting in that area during Dec 42 and Jan 43. In spring 1943 it was sent south to Sumy/SE of Konotop and reassigned to 10. Flakbrigade. On 15 Jul 43 it was ordered to moved from Sumy to Bryansk and reassigned to 12. Flakdivision.

Ivan: you need to get some good books on the fighting along the central sector of the Eastern Front and study up on what happened there. You can also do a Google search, but you best bet would be to study some books.
