                              I think there reason why he was not very well accepted are stated in the "Wittmann"-book. I think the way he moved around and talked, etc. made a rather arrogant impression. Maybe it was because of his social background. I think just because Franz won the KC does not make him automatically a picture-book-warhero loved by everyone.
                              I remember that Heinz Macher (OL ) was also rather arrogant, even during the postwar area. A lot of vets told me that.
                              It's simply like in the real world today. Some people just feel that they are something special and the rest senses that...and consequently turns away.

                              I asked Patrick today, let's see whether he has a reply for us tomorrow.
